Misguided Campaign Tactics & Slumping Sickos
I've heard reports from around Costa Mesa about vandalism to campaign signs, particularly to those of Mayor Allan Mansoor and his running pal, Wendy Leece.

Here's a message for those knuckleheads doing the vandalism...STOP! What you are doing is stupid and childish.

Do I want Mansoor to win in November? Heck, no! I think his ideas and approach to municipal governance are misguided, dictatorial and just plain wrong for our city. That doesn't mean I think "anything goes" in this election!

Those who are doing this kind of stuff should use their energies walking precincts or otherwise supporting their chosen candidates, whomever they might be. Stealing and/or defacing campaign signs is the wrong way to go. The mayor can be defeated by focusing on his short-comings - of which there are many - and supporting candidates who are clearly better choices for the future of Costa Mesa.

If Mansoor and his mob resort to questionable tactics, that's on them. Those of us who support others in this race should hold ourselves to a much higher standard of behavior - not a difficult task, all things considered.

So, if you know some of those who are defacing or stealing campaign signs, please ask them to STOP!

Looks like Your Neighbor is in a mid-week slump. He's had to resort to simply using pictures on his blog to denigrate candidates opposing his slate of Mansoor/Leece for a change, instead of drowning us in his rhetoric. Nice touch... loved the images. Really loved the absence of his literary effluent. I guess he must be too busy staking out Paularino Park, looking for those darn marauding soccer players. The guy needs to get a life!
